John Weakliam worked in banking and finance before spending 14 years in Eritrea, developing Vita's first projects in Eritrea in 2000 and Ethiopia in 2005. John returned to Ireland and became chief executive of Vita in 2008. He is also the director of the Vita Green Impact Fund.
Dermot retired as Chief Executive of EirGrid in September 2012 having developed EirGrid as a world leader in the integration of wind power into the power system.
John worked in the forestry sector in over 15 countries and was former CEO of Coillte Consult. For the past 7 years he has been Head of Programmes in Vita
Mark is CEO of CO2 Balance, the Loan Programme's technical partner. He was a founding member of ICROA and has experience in carbon project development, accreditation and carbon credit marketing.
Deirdre is Chief Risk Officer at NTMA. She has held senior international positions in the financial services industry and is a Chartered Director to the Institute of Directors in London. Deirdre is the Chair of the Vita Green Impact Fund Steering Committee.
David is a Director of the Vita Green Impact Fund social enterprise in the UK. David is involved in a number of social enterprises linked to charities in the UK and is Chair of a Credit Union in Wales. Before entering the 3rd sector David's experiences included Communications, IT and Venture Capital.
